Note from commissioner

Same group, fourteenth year. Four things before the Thursday opener:

  • Every matchup locks at its own kickoff. You do not need the Sunday games finished before Thursday night.
  • Your Key Pick is worth three extra points. You get one each week, so make sure it is marked before that game starts.
  • Weekly winners get paid Tuesday morning. The season pot goes to the top three after Week 18; full tiebreakers are on the rules page.
  • Buy-in stays $50. Venmo me by Week 2 so I do not spend September chasing the same six people again.

Spreads are shown for context, but picks score straight up. Check your whole sheet before you leave — the one blank game is always the one that gets remembered.

Rules and settings

Every NFL pick'em and confidence rule you can set

Most pick'em pools run the standard way: everyone picks every game, a point for each winner, and the highest score takes the week. Picksheet runs that, and the confidence, bonus-game, and against-the-spread versions too.

Scoring

Format
Standard, where every correct pick is worth the same; Confidence, where members assign each game a value and a correct pick scores it; or Key Picks, where designated picks add a bonus to the Standard win value
Points per win
One to ten for Standard and Key Picks. Ignored for Confidence, where confidence values are the points
Confidence scale
For Confidence: start at 1 and top out at that week’s pick count, or keep the same top value all season
Key picks
One player-selected key pick each week, or every Monday game, including doubleheaders
Key pick bonus
One to ten points added to the normal win value

How ATS spreads get set
Automatically from the market at any day and time, or manually. Unused for straight-up pools; the time is ignored in manual mode
Half-point ATS spreads
Automatic spreads always use half-points, so games cannot push; manual spreads are not guaranteed to use half-points
Commissioner picks
Enter and fix picks for a member, or turn that off
Commissioner visibility
Always off. Nobody sees a pick before it locks, you included
Audit markers
Always on. Commissioner picks are flagged "C"
