NFL Survivor

Your NFL survivor pool, down to the last house rule

The pool you already run, moved over intact. Strikes, tie rules, double-pick weeks, a Thanksgiving deadline: every wrinkle your pool has collected is a setting here, not a compromise you have to explain to your members.

  • $1 per entry, nothing upfront
  • No minimum charge
  • Invite when you’re ready

NFL Survivor Open

Kenny’s Football League

Hosted by Kenny Long

Fourteenth year of the same pool. One strike, no team twice, and the trophy still lives on Dana’s shelf until somebody takes it off her. Everyone’s welcome — bring whoever you brought last year.

Note from commissioner

Same pool, fourteenth year. Four things before Week 1, all of them settled in the group chat back in January:

  • Thanksgiving picks are due Wednesday night, not Thursday morning. This is the one everybody forgets, and I am not un-forgetting it for you.
  • Buy-in stays $50. Venmo me by Week 2 or the entry comes out — I’m not chasing anyone down this year.
  • One strike, same as always. We voted on second chances, it wasn’t close, and I’m not reopening it in November when you go out on a Thursday nighter.
  • Multiple entries are fine. Put the kids in if they want in — last year Maisie made it to Week 11 and none of you did.

Everything else is on the rules page, including the tie rule that caused the incident. Yell at me if I’ve broken something.

Rules and settings

Every NFL survivor rule you can set

Most survivor pools run the standard way: one pick a week, no team twice, and one wrong pick ends your season. Picksheet runs that, and every variation your pool has added to it.

Format and season

Objective
Entries pick a team to win each week, or a team to lose
How picks resolve
Straight up, or against the spread
Starting week
Any week from 1 to 18, or start in the playoffs
Where it ends
Week 18, the Super Bowl, or any playoff round in between
The opening midweek games
Count them, or skip them so your pool starts Sunday
Entries per person
One each, or a cap you choose

Deadlines

Weekly deadline
At the first kickoff, at each game’s own kickoff, or a day and time you set
One week’s deadline
First kickoff, each kickoff, or a day and time for one week only, like Thanksgiving
Postseason deadline
First kickoff, each kickoff, or a day and time, separate from your weekly rule
Per-game lock
Always on. A game that kicks off early locks early

Elimination

Total lives
One or more. One means elimination on the first incorrect pick; N means elimination on the Nth incorrect pick
Ties
An incorrect pick that costs a life, or a correct pick
Everyone out in the same week
Revive the entries with the most surviving picks that week, or let the pool end there
Rebuys
When permitted, handled manually by the commissioner

Picks

Picks per week
One pick, or several
Picks in a specific week
Double-pick weeks late in the season, or any other count for a single week or playoff round
Team reuse
Each team once a season, twice, or no limit
Picking against a team
Pick against each team once a season, twice, or no limit
Playoff team reset
Used teams reset for the playoffs, or stay used
A missed pick
Costs a life, takes the most popular available team, or follows the largest spread: favorite for pick-winners, underdog for pick-losers

Visibility and control

Seeing other picks
As each game locks, or all at once at the deadline
Point spreads
Shown on the pick sheet, or kept off it. A pool that plays against the spread always shows them
How ATS spreads get set
Automatically from the market at any day and time, or manually. Unused for straight-up pools; the time is ignored in manual mode
Half-point ATS spreads
Automatic spreads always use half-points, so games cannot push; manual spreads are not guaranteed to use half-points
Commissioner picks
Enter and fix picks for a member, or turn that off
Commissioner visibility
Always off. Nobody sees a pick before it locks, you included
Rules text
A rules page generated from your settings, plus a note in your own words
Audit markers
Always on. Commissioner picks are flagged "C" and revivals "R"
Advance picks
Always allowed

Don’t see a setting your pool needs? Tell us what it is. That’s how most of this list got here.

CONTROL

Your pool, your rules

Your scoring, your tiebreakers, the house rules you’ve made over the years. They all come with you. We don’t decide how your pool runs. You do.

YOUR PEOPLE

Your members, not ours

Your pool is your group, not a list for us to market to. No gambling ads, no cross-sell, no nudging your people toward bets they never signed up for. They joined your pool. That’s where it ends.

SUPPORT

Help from a real person

A scoring question, a settings change, a participant dispute the night before lock: you reach someone who runs pools. No ticket queue, no canned replies.

Pricing

$1 an entry, nothing upfront

That is the whole price list: no tiers, no minimum, and not a cent of your buy-ins. You pay nothing until after the first week of picks, and only for the entries you keep.

  • No card to start
  • No minimum charge
  • Invite when you’re ready

Optional hands-on help

Or tell us the rules and we’ll build it

Custom scoring and the tiebreakers nobody else’s pool needs. Your logo and colors on the pages your members see. A roster that’s still a spreadsheet. Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll build the pool with you.
