Terms of Service

1. Early Access

Picksheet is a new product running its first seasons. Anyone can create an account and set a contest up, but the product is still early: features, formats, availability, scoring, support, pricing, and these Terms may change as it is developed.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be 18 or older to use Picksheet. The service is intended for people located in the United States.

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Tell us at hello@picksheet.com if you believe someone else has access to it.

Give us accurate account information and keep your email address current. Email is how we reach you about your account, your contests, and anything you owe.

3. Entertainment Purposes Only

Picksheet provides private sports contest software for entertainment purposes only.

Picksheet is not a sportsbook, gambling service, payment processor, escrow service, or prize administrator. We do not facilitate wagering, take entry fees or buy-ins, hold contest funds, verify payments, distribute prizes, or manage money exchanged between contest participants. No money moves through Picksheet.

You may not use Picksheet in violation of any applicable law, and you are responsible for whether your contest is lawful where you and your members are. Any off-platform arrangement involving money, prizes, or other items of value is solely the responsibility of the people involved and is not handled, endorsed, verified, or administered by Picksheet or Team Rankings. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

4. Emails We Send

Some email is part of the service, and you will receive it while you have an account or an active contest: sign-in codes, invitations, join and entry confirmations, and messages about your contest, your billing, or your account’s security.

Commissioners are also enrolled, at sign-up, in occasional Picksheet updates about running contests. We tell you that when you sign up, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link. Some other email can be turned off in your account settings.

5. Commissioners

Commissioners run their own contests. If you create or administer a contest, you are responsible for:

• inviting appropriate people, and having a reasonable basis to contact the people you invite;
• using Picksheet lawfully;
• clearly communicating your contest’s rules, deadlines, and any dues or prize arrangements to your members;
• the information you add about your members, and for having the right to give it to us;
• what you publish inside your contest;
• reviewing contest settings, picks, scoring, standings, and results;
• the decisions you make about your contest and the people in it;
• handling any off-platform communications, disputes, payments, or prize arrangements yourself;
• paying your hosting fee.

Commissioners may not use Picksheet to send spam or unwanted invitations, or to collect information about members that they have no legitimate reason to collect.

A contest belongs to its commissioner, and we will not normally reverse a commissioner’s decision about their own contest. If we set a contest up or import a roster for you as part of hands-on help, you are responsible for reviewing what we built before you invite anyone.

6. If You Join a Contest

When you join a contest, its commissioner runs it. That covers the contest’s rules and settings, who is in it, and how each member’s entries and picks are recorded and managed. What a commissioner can do in the product changes as it develops.

Contest rules, dues, and prizes are between you and your commissioner. If you have a question about how a contest is run or scored, ask your commissioner first.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy. Leaving a contest part-way through does not necessarily remove your entries from that contest’s history or standings.

7. Picks, Scoring, and Results

Picksheet provides tools for submitting picks, locking picks, calculating standings, and displaying results. Schedules, game status, and scores come from third-party sports data providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.

Because the product is early, these tools may contain bugs, delays, data errors, scoring errors, or other issues, and reminders or other emails may fail to arrive.

Commissioners are responsible for reviewing results and resolving contest-specific questions or disputes. Picksheet does not guarantee that picks, deadlines, scoring, standings, reminders, or contest results will be accurate, complete, timely, or error-free.

8. Fees and Payment

Creating an account and setting a contest up is free. Hosting a contest that people join is not: we charge a hosting fee for each entry your contest keeps. The current price list is on our pricing page.

We do not ask for a card up front. After your contest’s first week’s entry deadline we count the entries and show you the amount; entries you remove before that count are not counted. Payment is due by the second week’s entry deadline, and contests that have not paid by then are paused until they do.

The hosting fee is the only money that comes to us. Dues, buy-ins, and prize money stay between you and your members. Fees do not include any taxes that may apply, and hosting fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

We may change our prices at any time. A change will not apply to a contest that is already published.

We may offer credits or promotional pricing from time to time. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and expire on the terms of the promotion that granted them.

9. Contest Visibility

Contests are private. Seeing one takes an invitation from its commissioner and a Picksheet account, and anyone holding a contest’s invitation link can see that contest’s invitation page.

By joining or creating a contest, you understand that certain information may be visible to the commissioner and other contest members, including your name or display name, your entries and picks, standings, and related contest activity, depending on the contest’s settings and how far along it is.

Some contests run with a partner, and a contest’s name and its landing page may be listed publicly. Member information is not.

10. Your Content

You keep ownership of what you put into Picksheet. You give us permission to store, display, and process it in order to run the service for you and your contest.

You are responsible for having the right to give us the content and information you add, and for it not being unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use Picksheet to:

• violate any law or regulation;
• run or facilitate illegal gambling or wagering;
• abuse, harass, threaten, or harm others;
• send spam or unwanted communications;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are;
• upload or share unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content;
• interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
• misuse invite links, accounts, or contest access.

12. Third-Party Services, Names, and Marks

Picksheet uses third-party services for authentication, hosting, analytics, monitoring, forms, email, payments, sports data, and related operations. The Privacy Policy lists the current ones.

Picksheet may refer to sports leagues, teams, tournaments, events, or other third parties for identification and informational purposes. Picksheet is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NFL, FIFA, any league, team, tournament, or other third party unless expressly stated.

All third-party names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using Picksheet, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

14. No Warranties

The service is provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or timely, that picks, deadlines, scoring, or standings will be accurate, or that Picksheet will meet your needs. You use Picksheet at your own risk.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Team Rankings, Picksheet, and their operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, contest disputes, scoring errors, service interruptions, or any losses related to wagering, prizes, payments, or money exchanged in a contest.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to Picksheet is limited to the greater of the hosting fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Rankings, its affiliates, and their officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use of Picksheet, the contests you run or join, the information or content you provide, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Picksheet — including pausing a contest — if you violate these Terms, if a hosting fee goes unpaid, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the product, its users, Team Rankings, or the service.

You can stop using Picksheet at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. Contest records may remain visible to a contest’s commissioner and members.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and your relationship with Team Rankings are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and Team Rankings agree to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Shelby County, Tennessee.

Any claim relating to Picksheet or these Terms must be filed within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Together with the Privacy Policy, these Terms are the entire agreement between you and Team Rankings about Picksheet.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to tell you, such as posting a notice or sending an email. Continued use of Picksheet after updated Terms are posted means you accept them.
