Information We Collect

We collect information you provide or generate when using Picksheet, including:

• Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, sign-in method, account settings, and authentication identifiers.
• Contest information, such as contest names, settings, rules, members, invitees, invite links, entries, picks, standings, timestamps, and related contest activity.
• Information a commissioner provides about their members, such as contact details used to invite people, and any notes or other details the commissioner chooses to record.
• Billing information, such as what a contest owes and a record of payment. When we begin collecting hosting fees, card details will be handled by a payment processor and we will not store full card numbers.
• Communications, such as messages, feedback, or support requests you send us.
• Email delivery information, such as whether a message was delivered, delayed, bounced, marked as spam, opened, or clicked.
• Usage, device, cookie, analytics, and diagnostic information, such as log data, browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, sign-in activity, product events, error reports, and session replays of how pages are used.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• operate Picksheet;
• create and manage accounts, contests, invitations, picks, standings, and commissioner tools;
• send service-related emails, such as sign-in codes, invitations, reminders, and contest updates;
• send product updates that commissioners are enrolled in, and honor unsubscribes;
• count entries, bill hosting fees, and keep payment records;
• provide support and troubleshoot issues;
• protect the security and reliability of the service, and investigate abuse;
• understand how the product is being used and improve it.

Information a Commissioner Provides

Commissioners can record information about their members, including contact details, imported contact lists, and notes. We store and display that information so the commissioner can run their contest. The commissioner decides what to collect and why, and is responsible for it under our Terms.

The commissioner of a contest you join can see and export their own contest’s roster and activity, including your name, your email address, and your participation in that contest. Their name and email address are shown to you in turn, so you can reach the person running it.

If a commissioner has recorded something about you that you want corrected or removed, ask them first — it is their record. You can also contact us and we will help where we can.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to help operate Picksheet. Current providers may include:

• Clerk for authentication, session management, email codes, optional Google or Apple sign-in, and related user account services.
• Resend for sending the product’s email and reporting delivery results.
• Svix for webhook signature verification.
• Google and Apple if you choose to use optional Google or Apple sign-in.
• PostHog for product analytics, product diagnostics, and session replay. We configure analytics to reduce personal data collection where practical.
• Sentry for error and performance monitoring. We configure Sentry not to send default personal information where practical.
• Tally for early-access details forms.
• Team Rankings’ own sports data, and API-Football / API-Sports, for schedules, teams, game status, and scores. We do not intentionally send user personal information to sports data providers.
• Google Fonts for loading fonts on public pages, which may cause your browser to make requests to Google.
• AWS for hosting, databases, logs, storage, networking, and related infrastructure.
• GitHub Actions for deployment and operational workflows.
• Slack for deployment and operational notifications. We do not intentionally send app user data to Slack.
• A payment processor, once we begin collecting hosting fees. We will update this list when it is in place.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. There are no ads on Picksheet.

We may share information:

• with service providers that help us operate, secure, monitor, support, bill for, and improve Picksheet;
• within a contest, where information such as names, display names, entries, picks, standings, and contest activity may be visible to commissioners and other contest members;
• when required by law or needed to protect Picksheet, Team Rankings, users, or others;
• in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Team Rankings staff can access Picksheet data to operate, support, and troubleshoot the service. That includes setting a contest up or importing a roster for a commissioner who asks for hands-on help.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, analytics, product diagnostics, and reliability. We do not use advertising cookies.

Our analytics include session replay: a reconstruction of how a page was used — clicks, navigation, and scrolling — recorded with text and form inputs masked.

Email and Your Choices

Some email is part of the service, and you will receive it while you have an account or an active contest: sign-in codes, invitations, join and entry notices, and messages about your contest, your billing, or your account’s security.

Commissioners are also enrolled, at sign-up, in occasional Picksheet updates about running contests. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link. Some other email can be turned off in your account settings.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to appeal if we decline a request. Email hello@picksheet.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as we need it to run contests and the service, and to meet legal, security, billing, and recordkeeping obligations.

You can request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing hello@picksheet.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some information may be retained where needed for security, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes, and contest records such as entries, picks, and standings are part of a contest’s history and may remain visible to that contest’s commissioner and members.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet service is completely secure. Use of Picksheet is at your own risk. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator when the law requires it.

Children

Picksheet is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us at hello@picksheet.com.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we may notify users by posting an updated policy or by other reasonable means.
