College Bowl Pick’em Pools

Give your group a whole bowl season to follow.

Run a bowl pick’em pool where members choose game winners and add up points for correct picks. Keep every game worth the same, play against the spread, or give later playoff games more weight. You choose which bowls and CFP games count.

Give each correct pick the same value, or make selected games and later playoff rounds worth more. Choose straight-up or spread picks.

$1 per entry. Nothing upfront.

Set up your bowl pool

Choose what a correct pick is worth.

Start with the scoring your group likes, then choose the games and pick deadlines to match.

One point per winner.

Pick every included game straight up. Each correct pick earns one point, so a December bowl counts just as much as the final game.

Pick against the spread.

Members pick which team will cover the pool’s posted line. Freeze the line used for grading and decide how a push scores.

Give playoff rounds more weight.

Assign higher values to later CFP games. For example, bowl picks might earn one point while semifinal and championship picks earn more. The same game values apply to everyone.

Your pool’s rules

Build the bowl sheet your group wants.

Cover the full postseason or a smaller set of games. These choices determine the pick sheet, scoring, and finish.

Games and schedule

Included games
Use the bowl schedule, a selected set of games, or bowls plus the College Football Playoff. Count a CFP game played in a bowl once.
Later playoff rounds
Include only matchups known at entry time, or open later picks when the advancing teams are known.
Starting and ending games
Choose the first eligible game and where the pool ends. A late-start pool can use the games still to come.
Entries per person
Allow one entry each, or set a limit for your group.

Picks and points

Straight-up or spread picks
Grade the game winner, or use the pool’s fixed point spread.
Points per game
Use equal points, custom game values, or increasing values for playoff rounds.
Confidence points
Let members assign values to their own picks for a confidence pool. That differs from commissioner-set game values.
Pushes
For spread picks that land exactly on the line, choose zero points, partial credit, or another stated rule.
Bonus picks
Make a selected game worth extra or add a separate champion prediction. Keep the bonus distinct from the game’s ordinary score.

Deadlines and changes

Pick deadlines
Lock the sheet before the first included game, use a deadline for each group, or lock individual picks at kickoff.
Unknown matchups
Give later playoff matchups their own pick window. Members cannot pick between teams that have not yet qualified.
Missed picks
Use no points, a stated penalty, or an automatic-pick rule. Keep the treatment consistent across entries.
Postponed or cancelled games
Set whether a delayed game still counts and what happens if it is never played. A changed opponent may need a new pick.
Edits after submission
Allow changes until the relevant deadline. Once a pick locks, any commissioner correction should be visible.

Standings and tiebreakers

Overall standings
Add points from all included games to decide the pool standings.
Group results
Track separate results for named groups of games alongside the overall total if your pool uses them.
Score-prediction tiebreaker
Use the predicted combined score of the championship or another designated final game. State whether closest wins or going over matters.
A remaining tie
Establish any next tiebreaker and how an unresolved tie affects the final places and prize splits.

Commissioner controls

Seeing other picks
Reveal picks after the applicable deadline. With staged submissions, keep future groups hidden until they lock.
Commissioner picks
Enter and fix picks for a member, or turn that off
Rules text
A rules page generated from your settings, plus a note in your own words
Audit markers
Always on. Commissioner picks are flagged "C" and revivals "R"
Entry management
Keep track of who has joined, how many entries they have, and who still owes their dues.

Before the first bowl kicks off.

The schedule matters as much as the scoring.

Does a bowl pool include the College Football Playoff?

It can. Choose bowls only, selected CFP games, or the combined postseason. Quarterfinal and semifinal bowls are also playoff games, so list each physical game once.

Do members have to pick every game upfront?

Only if you choose that deadline and every required matchup is known. A pool that includes later CFP rounds can open new picks as the teams advance.

Is this a bracket pool?

Here, members pick the actual matchups on the pool’s sheet. A bracket asks them to predict future matchups and advancement before those games are set. Explore CFP Bracket.

How is confidence different?

In confidence, each member decides how many points to put on each pick. In weighted pick’em, the commissioner sets the game values for everyone. Explore Bowl Confidence.
